Hope Prince
Hope grew up the daughter of a factory worker and a truck driver on a small farm in rural North
Carolina. This formed the roots of her work ethic and where her concern for family and community began. Six years ago, Hope moved to Hanover County, where the rural charm and welcoming people were reminiscent of where she grew up.
As Vice President of her neighborhood association (Totopotomoy), she worked with members of the Board of Supervisors to address issues affecting her community. This resulted in the passage of a county ordinance preventing the extended parking of commercial vehicles on residential streets. She also advocated for inter-neighborhood pedestrian and bicycle access.
